How are we different from a general contractor?
As your interior designer, my focus is on the full picture — space planning, material coordination, and ensuring every decision aligns with your vision and budget. A general contractor manages the physical build — coordinating trades, meeting code requirements, and executing the plans on site. Together, we cover every angle. Teamwork makes the dreamwork!
When is the right time to get a designer involved?
At the very beginning. Early involvement means we can help shape the vision and build a realistic plan before any decisions are locked in — aligning layout, scope, and budget from the start. From there, material selections and finishes get thoughtfully coordinated, so construction begins with everyone working from a clear, confident plan.
How does pricing work with our services?
Services are structured in three individual phases, each with its own scope and billing, so you can engage at the level your project requires. Phase 1 consultations are a flat fee. Phases 2 and 3 vary based on project scope and complexity.
Can you do some but not all phases?
You can pause or stop after any phase, but the phases are sequential and build upon each other to ensure a seamless workflow and successful outcome.
What if I already have a general contractor?
Not a problem at all. We collaborate with existing contractor relationships regularly and are happy to work within your established team. A Connection Call is a great way to talk through how that might look for your project.
What is our design style?
My personal aesthetic takes a back seat to yours. Every project is built around your tastes, your lifestyle, and how you want your home to feel — with the expertise and polish that comes from working with a designer.
Are we compensated by any showroom or vendors we use?
No. Our vendor and showroom relationships are built on trust, not commissions. Every recommendation we make is based solely on what's right for your project.
